People for Bikes
Uniting Communities for Safer Cycling, Connected Streets, and a Vision Zero Future
PeopleForBikes is a national bicycle advocacy nonprofit and the U.S. bicycle industry’s trade association, representing more than 340 industry suppliers and nearly 1.4 million individual supporters. In partnership with the Coalition for Cyclist Safety, we are driving innovations to increase road safety in communities nationwide by advocating for the adoption of V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) technology that protects vulnerable road users, including cyclists.
Our impact spans three core areas: infrastructure, policy, and participation. We accelerate the creation of safe, fun, and connected places to bike; advocate for pro-bike policies and legislation at all levels of government; and work to reduce barriers to bicycling and welcoming more people to experience the joys of riding. Together with our partners, we work to make U.S. streets safe and comfortable places to ride a bike and advance the Vision Zero goal of eliminating road fatalities nationwide.
