Coalition 4 Cyclists
Advancing cyclist safety through innovative infrastructure and collaborative technology solutions.
The United States is worst by a margin among peer nations for traffic related killed and seriously injured which affects cyclists at a disproportionately high rate. Boulder County in Colorado has one of the nation’s leading populations of enthusiast cyclists with, for example, 70,000 -90,000 bike trips a year on the rural highway between the City of Boulder and the town to the north, Lyons.
Coalition 4 Cyclists supports changes in infrastructure and policy in order to correct these adverse safety outcomes. In infrastructure, C4C seeks the full expression of the multi-modal elements of Boulder County’s Transportation Master Plan and its leading standard for safety and opportunity for cyclists on a county-wide scale. In policy, C4C supports things like technologies such as Spoke Safety which have real promise to significantly improve safety outcomes at scale.
